Frequently Asked Questions
What is Rage Yoga?
[reyj yoh-guh] noun:
a practice involving breath work, positional exercises, and the expressing of raw emotions with the goal of attaining good health and becoming zen as f*ck. More than just a practice, Rage Yoga is an attitude and a method of connecting you to your most Badass Self.
Do I have to be angry?
Heck no! Even if you’re having the best day ever, you just won the lottery or pet a puppy, you can get just as much out of Rage Yoga. We don’t want you to hold onto anger for the sake of being angry. However, if you are angry then you definitely don’t need to hide it here!
Please do not call it Rage Yoga.
We would love for you to take the concepts of our practice that you like, and then make them your own.
If you really want to teach an alternative style then use ours as inspiration while you create something that's yours.
Please do not use our name, write ups, photos or logo.
We ask for you not to use these for both legal and personal reasons.
Can I teach Rage Yoga?
We have a teacher certification program. You can find out more >>over here.<<
Who is it for?
For the misfits, the anarchists, and the unapologetic badasses of the yoga world.
Where can I take a class?
No matter where you are located, you can always check out our >>Teachers NEar You<< If you’re looking to take a class in person then you’ll want to connect with one of our certified instructors.
What is a class like?
Picture a conventional yoga class. Now add a kickass soundtrack, middle fingers, some screaming, and a lot of laughter. Sprinkle some fuck words in there too. You’ll be guided through breath work and postures, some traditional and some more rage-ified. Our classes stress the importance of creating a space where you can practice in whichever way is right for you in that moment, giving you the tools to connect to your badass self.
The legal reason
is because RAGEYoga has been trademarked and is our intellectual property. We also paid people to create our photos and logos. Taking our write ups is also just lazy.
The personal reason
is because we have spent an overwhelming amount of energy, time and money to create this. Rage Yoga is our passion. Because of this, we are very excited when we hear stories about alternative practices being created that were inspired by ours! But it really doesn't sit well with us when people use our work for their own.
Thank you for understanding!
Stay badass and rage on,
